Curtin University is embedding a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) experience in all its courses with students also encouraged to take up work experience and volunteering opportunities outside their studies as part of a university-wide strategy to ensure Curtin graduates have the skills and first-hand experience employers are demanding.
Working closely with industry, the WIL program provides students with valuable and assessable experiences which integrate theory and practice in settings reflecting the workplace. This experience will make Curtin graduates more valuable to employers, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.
This approach to authentic learning is part of Learning for Tomorrow at Curtin and supports the University's endeavour of strengthening students' capacity to develop work-ready skills.
